Prayer ministry is understood here at SJE as the application of the truth of Christ, through the agency of the Holy Spirit, to the conditions and circumstances of our lives.

Sunday Prayer Ministry

On Sundays during Communion you will hear an invitation to any who are in need of and would like particular prayer, in confidence, for any matter or concern, to make their way to the side chapel after making their Communion. This ministry can also be arranged to take place over the phone for those unable to attend a church service.  This ministry of prayer is offered by a team of people in whom gifts of prayer have been identified and who have been trained in this work.

Prayer for St. John's Group

We also have a Prayer for St. John's Group who meet on Mondays, 1pm, in the chapel, to pray for various issues at St. Johns and beyond.

Soul Care

In addition to Sunday mornings in the chapel, more in-depth “Soul Care” prayer ministry is offered by appointment on Wednesday evenings or at other times as need be. Soul Care is listening prayer for healing and deliverance on Wednesday evenings by appointment. We currently offer appointments online via zoom.
