Christmas Gift Bags
Thank you for participating in this year’s Christmas Gift Bag collection for Aboriginal Head Start children 3-5 years old. Find out more about Aboriginal Head Start here.
This collection is a fun way of sharing the joy of Christmas with some amazing children! Please select a gender and age for the child for whom you would like to fill a bag with toys, books, mitts, socks, craft items, candy etc. and then click submit.
After you have submitted, you will receive a confirmation email from the St. John's office. You will also receive an email from Brenda on behalf of the Outreach Committee (check your junk folder) with the information to place on a gift tag (class code, child’s name and a color code).
Please note all children receive the same size gift bag - size 13”X10”. Some empty Christmas gift bags will be available at the back of the church or you can buy your own. These are the same Christmas gift bags that are available at any dollar store, so it is easy to buy one when you are out.
Please deliver the gift bags to St. Johns (11111-57 Ave., NW) by the morning service on Sunday December 6 2020 so they can be blessed. We ask that you please contact the office (email@example.com/780-434-8955) to arrange a time to drop them off (this applies even if you have a key). Alternatively you can deliver them to one of the Outreach member’s homes up to Sunday Dec 6, 2020 (please see the church newsletter (GrapeVine) or contact the office for their names and phone numbers).
This year, instead of filling a gift bag yourself, you can make a financial donation and a member of the Outreach Committee will purchase the items to fill a bag on your behalf. Please complete the form below indicating that you would like to make a financial donation and selecting the gender and age of the child you would like to support. All cheques should be made payable to "St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church" and inlcude "Outreach Committee: Christmas Gift Bags" in the memo line. We suggest a donation of $20-$25. If you have questions, please contact the office. Please mail your cheques to St. John's or place them in the mail box located at the entrance to the church, by the glass doors.
We will be delivering the bags to Aboriginal Head Start by Monday Dec 7, 2020
